# December 17th 2025: Day 331 of the White Supremacist Misogynist Christian Nationalist Regime
1274 Days Since SCOTUS Ruled American Women Don’t Have Human Rights | 802 Days Since Israel Began Genocidal Campaign on Palestinians in Gaza
Israel maintains a brutal campaign of genocide through starvation, siege, and relentless destruction. They block humanitarian aid while conducting periodic bombings, killer drone strikes, and sniper attacks. Mainstream media whispers about the fragile truce and a shaky ceasefire, yet they ignore the Gaza Government Media Office's reports. Israel has violated the ceasefire terms over 700 times since October 10th, 2025.
The Humanitarian Crisis in Gaza
Israel’s expanding ‘Yellow Line’ swallows Gaza districts, uprooting families. Palestinian families are forced to flee their homes in silence as Israeli deployment lines creep closer, despite the supposed ceasefire. As reported by Maha Hussaini in Middle East Eye on December 13, 2025, the situation is dire. Read more here.
Israel will be forever shielded from accountability for its savagery in Gaza, courtesy of the US Administration. The US military funding bill includes measures to oppose global arms embargoes on Israel. The 2026 National Defense Authorization Act commits the U.S. to counter arms embargoes on Israel as the country's isolation deepens due to the Gaza genocide. Mitchell Plitnick from Mondoweiss reported on December 10, 2025, that this legislation effectively shields Israel from global attempts to restrict arms transfers, even in the face of genocide. The US defense bill legally binds Washington to counter arms embargoes on Israel. A newly passed United States defense bill contains extraordinary provisions that would commit Washington to systematically identify, assess, and ultimately compensate for any Israeli weapons shortfalls caused by international embargoes. This legislation effectively shields Israel from global attempts to restrict arms transfers, even in the face of genocide. Read the full article here.
The Impact on Children
More than 9,000 children in Gaza were treated for acute malnutrition in October, according to the UN. Aid agencies report that Israel continues to restrict their aid shipments despite the ceasefire announced two months ago. An average of 140 aid trucks a day have crossed so far in December, organized by the UN and the International Organisation for Migration. This is well below the target of 600 trucks a day set as part of the ceasefire. Read more here.
Israel is leaving Palestinians in Gaza to freeze during Winter Storm Byron. The storm has caused flooding as Israel continues to block crucial winter supplies, including shelter, from entering the enclave. The UN’s top expert for Palestine has warned that the situation is catastrophic. Read the article here.
At least 11 people have died in storm-hit Gaza due to cold and collapsing buildings. According to Mera Aladam from Middle East Eye on December 12, 2025, overall, at least 13 buildings, already partly damaged from Israeli bombing, collapsed due to heavy rain and strong winds. Some people remain trapped under the rubble, while others are wounded. Over 27,000 tents of displaced families have been destroyed or swept away by floods and strong winds. More than 250,000 displaced people have been affected by rain, floods, and collapsing shelters. Learn more here.
The Plight of Pregnant Women
Pregnant women in Gaza face catastrophic scenarios, as reported by Farah Samer Zaina in The Electronic Intifada on November 29, 2025. The devastation in Gaza wrought by Israel is almost beyond comprehension. Generations of Palestinians will be wounded and traumatized. Israel’s military operations have significantly undermined every pillar of survival, leading the entire population of 2.3 million Gazans to face “extreme, multidimensional impoverishment.” Read more here.
The Cost of Rebuilding
Rebuilding the ‘human-made abyss’ in Gaza will cost at least $70 billion over several decades, according to a report by Jason Burke in The Guardian on November 25, 2025. The UN’s trade and development agency (Unctad) stated that Israel’s military operations had “significantly undermined every pillar of survival.” The entire population of 2.3 million people faces “extreme, multidimensional impoverishment.” The report revealed that Gaza’s economy had contracted by 87% over the course of 2023-2024, leaving its GDP per capita at just $161, among the lowest globally. The Death Toll
More than 100,000 Palestinians are likely dead in Gaza, according to a leading German institute. The Max Planck Institute found that the Gaza war-related death toll is substantially higher than the Palestinian health ministry’s own figures. The study also found that the age and gender distribution of violent deaths in Gaza between October 7, 2023, and December 31, 2024, closely resembles the demographic patterns observed in several genocides documented by the United Nations Inter-Agency Group for Child Mortality Estimation (UN IGME). Health Crisis in Gaza
Amid a destroyed health system, Gaza is facing a severe outbreak of autoimmune disorders. Guillain-Barré syndrome could be manageable anywhere with proper treatment, but not in Gaza. Read more here.
Gaza’s water has turned poisonous as Israel’s genocide leaves a toxic aftermath. Israel’s war on Gaza has not only razed entire neighborhoods but also poisoned the very ground and water on which Palestinians depend. The deliberate destruction of sewage and water networks has led to the contamination of groundwater and coastal waters. Gaza now faces severe risks to public health, and environmental risks are increasing. In September, a UN report warned that freshwater supplies in Gaza are “severely limited and much of what remains is polluted.” Learn more here.
Agricultural Devastation
Israeli restrictions have almost wiped out Gaza's farmlands. Almost no agricultural equipment or even seeds have entered Gaza since October 2023, leaving farmlands in ruin. Prior to October 2023, Gaza's agriculture accounted for 11 percent of its GDP, providing livelihoods for approximately 560,000 people. Now, that contribution has plummeted to under 2 percent. Bahaa Zaqout, the director of external relations at the Palestinian Agricultural Development Association (PARC), stated, "The sector is almost wiped out. The destruction was deliberate and carefully planned." Read more here.
Gaza will remain in the shadow of famine as long as we cannot plant our land. Israel has destroyed or made inaccessible 98.5 percent of Gaza’s agricultural land. Learn more here.
The situation in Gaza is catastrophic. The world must not turn a blind eye. We must act. We must resist. We must demand justice.
