August 8th 2024     1296 Days Since Inauguration of First Woman Vice-President
88 Days Until 2024 Presidential Elections 11/5/2024

775 Days Since SCOTUS Ruled American Women Don’t Have Human Rights
307 Days Since Israel Began Genocidal Assault on Palestinians in Gaza

We are entering the 11th month of Israel’s relentless and merciless genocide campaign in Gaza, fully funded and facilitated by the Biden Administration.  Israel rampages like a wild beast with impunity – ensured by US -- across the Middle East bombing schools and tent camps in “safe areas,” assassinating regional leaders, starving women and children, torturing illegally detained Palestinians, appropriating illegally Palestinian lands, sanctioning, indeed encouraging criminal behavior by Israeli soldiers.

Israel has killed more than 50,000 Palestinians in Gaza, and wounded more than 100,000 Palestinians; women and children comprise 70% of these casualties.  Tens of thousands more Gazans are missing. Israel has made Gaza unlivable for Palestinians, indeed unlivable for any living thing.  Netanyahu and his fascist-nationalist comrades proclaim that the vengeance commanded by God to be unleashed on the Amalekites – i.e., total annihilation -- will be continue to be unleashed on the Palestinians while the US continues to send billions of dollars of weapons to Israel.

Sniping, Shredding, Incinerating: Israel’s War on Children in Gaza | Middle East Monitor Adham Abu Selmiya 29 July 2024

I’ve seen more incinerated children than I’ve ever seen in my entire life combined. I’ve seen more shredded children in just the first week,” shared Dr Mark Perlmutter, a Jewish-American doctor, in a harrowing testimony that reminds us of the true nature of Israel’s war on Gaza. Dr Perlmutter, an orthopaedic surgeon, has been on over 40 mission trips in 30 years, including disasters like earthquakes and Ground Zero. However, nothing prepared him for the civilian carnage he witnessed in Gaza. He recounted seeing children with severe injuries, including sniper wounds and described the dire medical and humanitarian crisis, with hospitals in Gaza largely destroyed and children facing extreme trauma without adequate care….Despite their extensive experience in disaster zones, the doctors were unprepared for the overwhelming number of maimed children, the unbearable stench of death and decay, and the sheer scale of human suffering.

Social engineering and long-term impact.  The actions of the Israeli occupation in Gaza appear to be a deliberate attempt at social engineering, aiming to debilitate the future generation of Palestinians. As evidenced by the incendiary remarks of figures like Rabbi Eliyahu Mali, the intent is clear: to render this generation of children incapable of carrying the mantle of resistance or continuing the Palestinian struggle.

This is achieved through widespread killing, injuries, disabilities, detentions and the spread of long-lasting diseases. The brutal reality is that children in Gaza are now suffering from a host of chronic conditions, including renal failure, skin diseases, and respiratory ailments, all exacerbated by the dire living conditions and lack of medical care. The Israeli enemy understands that children are the human reservoir of resistance and recognises the unwavering support of the Palestinian people for the resistance movement. By systematically targeting and decimating this vital demographic, Israel aims to eliminate any potential future threat. This devastating strategy not only seeks to demoralise but also to physically incapacitate the very foundation of Palestinian society. https://www.juancole.com/2024/07/shredding-incinerating-children.html  https://www.middleeastmonitor.com/20240727-israels-genocidal-war-on-children/

We’re already in a regional war. Only a Gaza ceasefire can end it | +972 Magazine Amjad Iraqi August 6, 2024

The Palestinians, for their part, are outnumbered, outgunned, and outmatched by regional and global forces beyond their control, suffering a genocidal campaign more destructive than the 1948 Nakba. Israel’s killing fields have ripped apart every Palestinian family in Gaza, turned much of the Strip into valleys of rubble, and condemned 2 million besieged people, half of them children, to a lifetime of physical and psychosocial trauma.   https://www.972mag.com/regional-war-gaza-hezbollah-israel/

Israeli rape of detainees is the result of a society that sees Palestinians as ‘human animals.’

Israel has claimed that it is fighting “human animals” in Gaza. But now, Israeli society's own monstrous sadism, deriving from a deep hate of Palestinians, is on display for the rest of the world to see…. There is now apparently nothing that Israelis can do which Israeli leaders wouldn’t try to justify. What they are fighting against has been defined authoritatively (as far as they are concerned) as inhuman, so there is no way to apply human rights here – human rights apply to humans, not to “human animals.”

The response to this is also beyond rationality – “hate” is now sanctioned by the highest authority as “understood and justified.” Everything is understood through this lens, and if Israeli soldiers end up acting like animals, it’s only a natural response to the real animals.

Israel’s late Defense Minister Moshe Dayan once said “Israel must be like a mad dog, too dangerous to bother,” and this ‘mad dog’ and ‘master of the house gone mad’ doctrine has instructed Israel for many decades. Variations on this idea have been repeated by Israeli officials time and again. Former Defense Minister Pinhas Lavon, the initiator of the false flag terror attack on Cairo in 1954, advocated “going crazy” if ever Israel were crossed. During the 2006 war with Lebanon, Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said Palestinians need to understand that “the master of the house has gone mad,” while promising “James Bond-type operations, bim bam!”  After Israel’s 2008-9 Gaza onslaught, Operation Cast Lead, Israel’s Foreign Minister at the time, Tzipi Livni, stated that “our troops in the Gaza strip behaved like hooligans, which I demanded of them.” She also stated that Israel “is a country that when you fire on its citizens it responds by going wild — and this is a good thing.” https://mondoweiss.net/2024/08/israeli-rape-of-detainees-is-the-result-of-a-society-that-sees-palestinians-as-human-animals/

As Israeli leaders celebrate assassinations, the living pay the price.

Death-worthy” is probably the most well-worn phrase in Israeli public discourse to describe the recent assassinations. It is one among many justifications Israel has found for its uninhibited violence over the last ten months. But there is something terrifying about the fact that the question of whether or not someone is deemed “death-worthy” dictates our fate here more than whether we civilians are life-worthy.

At every intersection since the massacres of October 7, Israel has chosen the path of violence and escalation. Justifications have never been lacking: we must respond forcefully to the attacks; we must persecute those who initiated and executed it; we must intensify the pressure until they return the hostages; we must attack Lebanon in response to the rockets; we must signal to Iran that we will not be silent about its support for Hezbollah.

Ultimately, however, the automatic choice of violent escalation is suicidal. This inertia is so sweeping that it does not allow us to ask basic, existentially vital questions: Has the criminal genocide we are perpetrating in Gaza increased the security of a single person in Israel? Are we safer now, while we wait for the Iranian response? Is Israel doing better on the world stage than it was on October 7?

It’s not just the lust for revenge that swept through Israeli society after October 7, galvanizing a murderousness of a kind we didn’t know. It is the extinction of the ability to imagine anything other than futile violence. The Israeli public faces the disturbing reality that it lacks the tools to interrogate its own interests, and to decide between different courses of strategic action. Because there is nothing in the Israeli toolbox but a hammer — and a country without a range of tools is a very dangerous country for its citizens, and even more so for its occupied subjects.  https://www.972mag.com/israel-assassinations-iran-hezbollah/

These Israeli soldiers will return to Israel with their moral core/souls grievously wounded by their sanctioned monstrous behavior.  Israel society will suffer the consequences for generations to com.
